Project description
Project manager for the excavation and support works for approximately 200m of underground tunnels and galleries at ANDRA's Meuse / Haute-Marne laboratories.
The tunnels and galleries are intended to be used for scientific experiments relating to the potential use of the rock formation for the storage of radioactive waste.
The technique used combined excavation using hydraulic jackhammers with the installation of sliding steel sets (TH hangers).
This phase of work also included the fit-out of the tunnels and galleries, in particular, the GT6 sanitation/refectory gallery; the GT7 concrete niche; and the excavated GT5 gallery (all design phases).
