A new way of working
Building Information Modelling (BIM) represents a new collaborative working method, with everyone involved in a construction project collaborating on a 3D digital model. The model serves as a structure database, which is updated as work progresses, providing an accurate vision of the project at all stages as well as a valuable tool throughout the life cycle of the structure.
Expertise in project owner assistance
Thanks to our vast experience in all our fields of activity and in BIM design for a wide variety of projects, we have the expertise to advise the project owner when it comes to implementing BIM. Though BIM was initially used primarily for buildings and complex infrastructure, at BG we have developed BIM processes for waste management and water treatment infrastructure as well.
Here is a sampling of the projects on which we successfully implemented a BIM model, which made it possible to integrate construction phases, simulations and estimates at all stages of the project: Clinique CIC Clarens, Cheneviers IV waste-to-energy plant in Geneva, Ivry-Paris-XIII waste recovery centre, Limmattal Hospital in Zurich, La Villette, Chancy and Schönau wastewater treatment plants. The Limmattal hospital was awarded the BIM d'Argent silver medal 2015, and the Grand Paris Express was awarded the BIM d'Or gold medal 2017.
