10th of September: Swiss Transport Research Conference 2009 - BG-EPFL Lecture

Guillaume de Tilière, responsible for the Transportation competence center at BG Consulting Engineers and Marc Laperrouza from the Transportation Center of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) will jointly present on Thursday 10th of September one of the relations of the session "Transport management Systems" chaired by K.W. Axhausen.
 
The lecture will focus on the deployment of new standards for rail interoperability in Europe and the issue of cohesion between technology and policy. The study showcased integrates the results of the "ERTMS High level round table" co-organised in May 2009 by EPFL and BG Consulting Engineers and gathering the main stakeholders of the European railway sector (RFF, SBB, RFI, OBB, UIC, EIM, EEIG, ERA, etc).
 
The STRC is dedicated to transport research in Switzerland and is taking place every year in Ascona (Ticino). Academic institutions such as EPFL, ETHZ and universities as well as institutions such as OFT, OFROU and CFF which are involved in Swiss or European research programmes participate to this event.
